Rajasulochana is still remembered for his classical dancing and acting


Who does not know the famous Tollywood actress, Rajasulochana, at present, she has always remained in the discussion because of one thing or the other. She always won the hearts of her fans with her acting, not only that, she was an Indian classical dancer and a film actress. She has acted in over 300 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. She was born on August 15, 1935 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. His father, Piliarkheti Bhaktavatslam Naidu, worked in Indian Railways and transferred to Madras as Managing Director of M&M Railways. At school, his name was mistakenly recorded as Rajasalochana.

Maestro of Stage and Screen Kannada HLN Simha gave him the opportunity to star in Gunsagari (Kannada, 1953) produced by Gubbi Veeranna. After that, she acted in about 274 films in all South Indian languages. She has worked with all the major South Indian movie stars such as MG Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, NT Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Rajkumar, SS Rajendran starred alongside Prem Nazir, AP Nagarajan and MN Nambiar.

She founded the dance school “Pushpanjali Dance Arts Centre” in Chennai in 1961. She trained many students in classical Indian dance forms and celebrated her silver jubilee in 1986. She has presented many dances in India and abroad and received vital praise for the dance pieces. She said goodbye to the world on March 5, 2013.
