Katy Perry has joked that she’s going to be “really fit” like rivals Adele and Ed Sheeran.
The 37-year-old pop megastar just returned with her new dance single with Alesso, “When I’m Gone,” and Katy cracked a joke about the “Easy On Me” hitmaker and the star’s transformations. Bad Habits” when asked to “trash talk” his competitors.
Adopting a British accent, the “Roar” singer – who welcomed her first child, daughter Daisy Dove, with fiancé Orlando Bloom globally in August 2020 – told ‘Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp: “Ed got really fit, Adele got really fit, I’m going to be really fit, we’re all going to be fit.”
Before adding: “I love them. There is room for all of us.”
Adele, 33, wowed fans with her impressive weight loss, while the flamboyantly haired singer, 30, also lost weight and underwent laser eye surgery.
Meanwhile, the “I Kissed A Girl” singer has just begun her residency in Las Vegas.
“Katy Perry: PLAY” opened at Resorts World Theater in Sin City in late December and will run until March 19, 2022.
The ‘Wide Awake’ singer recently admitted that she loves how her new show allows her to be “artistic” and be there for her 16-month-old daughter.
She said: “I really wanted to be able to find a better balance – having a child and taking him to kindergarten – but also being artistic and playing with that energy.”
The “Smile” singer shared how having sweet “moments” with family is “so important” to her.
Katy – who performs all of her hits including ‘I Kissed A Girl’, ‘Dark Horse’, ‘California Gurls’ and ‘Firework’ – added: “Orlando and I just went for a hike with our daughter. We went to see ducks and turtles because it’s so important for me to have these moments every day, especially when I work from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
