Hiddenite Center Announces Registration for Ballroom and Online Dance Classes | City News

Ballroom dance instructor Dirk Myers II will begin a new series of ballroom and line dance classes at the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center on October 19. Myers is an experienced Banquet & Ballroom (formerly Havana Social Club) teacher at Cornelius.

Myers’ line dancing class will be held at the centre’s education complex on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The cost of the eight-week course is $ 100 per person for non-center members, or $ 95 per person for paying members, payable in advance or on the first day of class. The Covid-19 security protocol will be respected. Registration is required for this series of courses. To register, call Karen Walker at 828-632-6966.

Ballroom dancing lessons will be held at the Center Education Complex (70 Hiddenite Church Road) on Mondays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The series includes waltz, rumba, cha-cha and swing lessons. The cost of the eight-week course is $ 100 per person for non-Center members, or $ 95 per person for paying members, payable in advance or on the first day of class.
