a weekend of free dance lessons to feature artists from IN THE HEIGHTS, ON YOUR FEET, NYCB and more

After 18 years of offering a dance training program at the Palace Theater, Stamford Center for the Arts, CB Festival Productions has partnered with Salgado Productions to deliver an international opportunity for a free weekend of dance in 2021 Ballet, hiphop, street jazz and Latin fusion lessons will be given virtually on January 23 and 24.

DanceFest is an annual festival that brings together some of the best master teachers to students of all disciplines. The mission is to broaden the horizons of young dancers by exposing them to genres outside their comfort zone and by developing their passion for dance. Classes are open to dancers aged 10 to 18.

“DanceFest challenges, inspires and educates young dancers, encouraging them to stretch their body, their mind, their inner psyche; physically, mentally and emotionally.” says DanceFest producer Carol Bryan.

The 2021 Dance Weekend will feature master artists and guest teachers such as Veronica Alvarez (In The Heights- Peru / DC), Ehizoje Azeke (Beyonce, Madonna and more), Valerie Cossu (Mayumana), Daniel Fetecua (Limón Dance Company), Ximena Salgado (National Agitation Champion), Ahren’s victory (CATS National Tour), Matthew Steffens (MET Opera), Daniel Ulbricht (New York City Ballet) and Luis Salgado (On your feet, in the heights).

“Salgado Productions is proud to produce this festival with CB Festival Productions and delighted to bring an international element by adding teachers to give lessons directly from Latin America to the program for the first time,” said the CEO of Salgado Productions’ Luis Salgado
